I was a Super Bowl drop out today. The girls and I went to Painted Earth in Temecula. Half off studio fees!

I chose a panda. Pandas are my favorite.

I absolutely loved the weather today. Cool and overcast. It was a perfect day for apple cider and movies with the kids. 

365 Challenge - January 25

Tonight marked the first ever Stadium Series NHL game in Southern California. The Los Angeles Kings hosted the Anaheim Ducks at Dodger Stadium. 

A couple friends informed me there was a watch party at Honda Center, so I drove up to join them. It was pretty fun. I got in some practice cheering for the Ducks, since I will be seeing them take on the Dallas Stars on February 1. 

We had to stand for the first period, but we ended up with a table. We ordered wings and garlic fries and watched the Ducks shut out the Kings. 

365 Challenge - January 24

Little Sis had a sick day today. She had a severe upset tummy last night, and I didn't want to send her in today.

Thankfully, she is all better now. She was able to keep chicken noodle soup, Gatorade and toast down. 

I was able to enjoy a quiet morning while she slept after Big Sis left for school.

Throwback Thursday!

Here's a pic of Dale and me at Goofy's Kitchen last February. My friend, Cassidy and I had a blast. Mickey Mouse waffles and bacon. So yum.

Today's picture was inspired by a friend of mine. He sent me a picture of chicken he had made for his lunches at work. So I asked for the recipe and made some when I got home. 

Chicken breast

Salt and pepper

Garlic and onion powders

Dijon mustard

I put it in my grill skillet, covered with seasonings and mustard, and cooked until 160 degrees. Easy peasy. 

Sliced up and put on a bed of rice and broccoli. Then I put them in Easy Lunchbox containers.  

I take no credit for this amazing and delicious idea. :) 

365 Challenge - January 20

Today, Little Sis and I went on a San Diego adventure!

First, we went to San Diego de Acala Mission. 

Then, we went to the San Diego Zoo. We have a membership that expires next month. First, we had a picnic lunch in EasyLunchbox Containers. 

Finally, we went to Coronado Beach. It was absolutly beautiful today. 

Back to work and school tomorrow!

365 Challenge - January 19

The Instagram photo challenge was "breakfast." So here is what I had.

Back in late 2013, Disney fans learned that the parks were "retiring" long-running entertainment attraction Billy Hill and the Hillbillies. 

Fans rallied. Petitions were started and letters to Disney were written. Alas, January 6 rolled around and their final set was to take place. The venue was packed. OC Register ran a story, which was much-coveted among my group of friends. 

Saturday, January 18, Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies opened to a packed house at Knott's Berry Farm. They played 4 shows, of which I saw the first 3. They were amazing, as always, and I look forward to seeing them on a regular basis, just like when they were at Disneyland.

Today my girls and I had a small pampering day. Manicures and Starbucks! Big Sis got there later than us because she walked from school (just a few blocks away), so Little Sis and I were done shortly after she got there. Little Sis and I decided to go sit at Starbucks while we waited. It was perfect weather. Not too hot or cold with a slight breeze. Perfect afternoon.

Today's picture is of one of my journal pages. It's blurry on purpose. It's in the planner journal I made, where the calendar is on one side and blank journal pages are on the other. This is actually the second page like this. It felt really good to get some deep, spiritual prayer journaling in tonight.

This is the Small-Fries Panda I got yesterday at Build-A-Bear. He was my "sad panda" and my "happy panda" yesterday. I won't go into my reasons for being happy and sad.

365 Challenge - January 12

I took Little Sis with me today when I went to Downtown Disney to watch the 49ers game. She didn't watch, but played on her Kindle Fire and made rubber band bracelets. After, a friend and I took her to Build-A-Bear. Then we watched the end of the Chargers game and then went to other friends' apartment to watch the Golden Globes. Busy day, but lots of fun. 

365 Challenge - January 11

Today was such a relaxing day. My plans fell through so I ended up with a day of reading, football, and hockey. And popcorn - air popped with butter and sea salt.
